Dr. Daneshgaran moved to the United States from Iran at the age of 16. She earned her Doctor of Optometry from the University of California at Berkeley, School of Optometry, in 1997, following Bachelor’s degrees in Vision Science and Microbiology and Molecular Genetics. Beyond her passion for eye care, she enjoys an active lifestyle, frequently indulging in hobbies such as hiking, cooking, dancing, reading, traveling, volleyball, and tennis.
Dr. Semiramis Mahmoudi, OD
Owner, Optometrist
Dr. Mahmoudi’s academic journey took her from Tehran to Cologne, Germany, where she initially pursued dentistry before shifting her focus to medical studies. After relocating to the United States and earning a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from the University of Washington in 2000, she continued her education and received her Doctor of Optometry degree from Pacific University College of Optometry in 2013. With a comprehensive background in optometry, including ocular disease management, refractive surgery care, and contact lens fitting, Dr. Mahmoudi is prepared to meet all your ocular needs. Fluent in English, Farsi, and German, she balances her professional life with diverse interests, including spending time with family, ice skating, horseback riding, candle making, reading, archery, and a love for paranormal and suspenseful movies.
Milena Khmelnitskaya
Optician
Milena is a Washington State Licensed Dispensing Optician with over 24 years of optical experience. She received her Bachelor’s degree from the Russian University of International Friendship at Moscow in 1997 and a degree in Opticianry from Seattle Central Community College in 2003. She is an expert in finding the perfect frame to suit your face and personality. She has extensive knowledge about lenses and special coatings that will provide you with the best vision possible. She enjoys reading, skiing, hiking, and spending time with family and friends.
Thuy-Nhu Castillo
Office Manager
Thuynhu graduated from the University of Washington in 2019 with a BS in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology. She has been working in optometry offices as an optometry technician since she was a freshman at UW, and is highly skilled in performing patient pretests, contact lens training, as well as being HIPAA certified. Her hobbies include cooking, traveling, designing/drawing.
