The Optos California machine is an FDA approved panoramic imaging device that provides a wide field view (about 200 degrees) of the retina without the need for dilating drops; hence, there are no blurry side effects. It is a high tech imaging camera that takes high-resolution, wide-field digital images of the retina. The procedure does not involve the use of eye drops, and it is fast and painless.
